The Director of Senior Programs/ Nutrition Site Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and direction of the congregate,  home delivered meals and homemaker programs.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides customer driven, courteous service
  • Responsible for overall supervision of the Gail Reyes Senior Center, Golden Retreat Activity Center and Homemaker programs
  • Demonstrates proficient computer use
  • Plan and implement activity calendar with an emphasis on virtual programming
  • Correctly order meals for home delivered and congregate program and maintains inventory of meals
  • Interact with seniors
  • Recruit, train and coordinate volunteers and Family Independence workers
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure facility is clean and well maintained
  • Supervise staff (Nutrition Site Assistant, Delivery Staff, Homemaker Aides)
  • Must maintain accurate accounting of funds
  • Must complete required reporting accurately
  • Successfully complete training and certifications to conduct evidenced based exercise classes
  • Deliver home delivered meals as needed
  • Conduct or supervise daily wellness checks by phone or in person as needed
  • Must complete training and implement Pandemic precautions
  • Conduct Home Assessments and Develop Plan of Care for Homemaker Clients
  • Hire, train and supervise Homemaker Aides
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Successful candidates will:

  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in human service related field with at least one year of experience preferred.
  • Possess a valid SC Driver’s License
  • Have excellent computer skills

Salary: Base of $8.25
Full Time

In collaboration with the Transportation Manager, the Driver is the backbone of our transportation services.  Key responsibilities include:

  • Provides safe and efficient transportation services for a demand response rural bus service
  • Must use a computer tablet to record pick up and drop off times
  • Provides customer driven, courteous service
  • Completes pre and post vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and preventative maintenance
  • Completes timely and accurate reporting
  • Ensures accurate accounting of funds

Successful candidates will:

 

  • Be at least 25 years old
  • Possess a valid SC Driver’s License
  • Have at least 1 year of experience
  • NOT have any moving violations, at-fault accidents, felony convictions or misdemeanors (within the past 10 years)

Homemaker Aide

Salary: $9.25 /HR.

 Full Time

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Provides customer driven, courteous service
  • Performs routing housecleaning for seniors to include, but not limited to: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, takin out trash, changing bed linens, cleaning refrigerator, light laundry, ironing, cleaning bathrooms, assisting with meal preparation and service, essential shopping and interaction with seniors.
  • Performs task as outlined in plan of care
  • Provides personal care as identified in plan of care to include, but not limited to: bathing, dressing, hair care
  • Maintains accurate records of home care visits, tasks performed and condition of client
  • Attends meetings and training as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Successful candidates will:

  • Be at least 25 years old
  • Must possess a valid SC Drivers License
  • Must get along well with others
  • Demonstrate ability to successfully complete First Aid and CPR
  • Works independently and as a part of a team
  • Is courteous, helpful, respectful and empathetic with senior clients at all times
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
